ABOUT US

OUR MISSION AND VISION:

Magic Forest Tours is committed to growing ecotourism through personalized guided tours. We practice leave-no-trace guidelines for minimizing our impact and offer place - based education for a future of environmental stewardship.

We aim to give visitors an experience they will remember forever as well as give back to the community. We are so grateful to our local business supporters Adventures Through Kayaking and Goodness Tea and Therapeutic Arts Center.

What is Ecotourism?

Ecotourism is tourism based on the natural beauty of a place.

No ecosystem is immune to climate change, habitat destruction, or other human impacts that put wild and beautiful places at risk. Ecotourism gives the environment a value beyond its ecological services, motivating us to protect it so people can enjoy it for generations to come.

Meet the Founder and Guide
NINA SARMIENTO
(she/her)

Nina started Magic Forest Tours because she loves spending time in nature, forests included. The Olympic mountain wilderness became magical to her when she experienced the unique ecosystem found there. On her tours it is not uncommon to pick summer berries, identify fall mushrooms, and observe wildlife, both big and small.

Nina grew up in New York and moved to Washington in 2018. She not only began hiking & backpacking but sea kayaking, mountain biking, rock climbing, birding and learning to identify & understand the local plants and trees. She also spends time volunteering to save the endangered  Southern Resident orcas and organising to protect the environment.
